Hurricane, a 9 year old Dutch Shepherd, is a dual purpose working dog with the Jasper County Sheriffs Office. He is trained in tracking, apprehension, narcotics detection, and officer protection. He was trained by our current Sheriff, Chris Malphrus. Deputy Messer is now Hurricane’s handler and partner.
